How long will a no contact court order run for?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Eric K Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Utah Family Law LC
In Utah, when the police issue a no-contact order, it remains in place until the subject of the no-contact order appears in court on the charges for which the no-contact order was issued, the idea being that once the subject appears in court, the court can then determine whether to drop the no-contact order or keep it in place. If the alleged domestic violence victim wishes to have the no contact order rescinded, you are she cannot just simply tell the police to drop it; the victim needs to go through the police department's investigative division to seek that.

Can my boyfriend's ex wife ask for more child support money?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Ronald L Bornstein (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Ronald Bornstein, Attorney at Law
Generally, only your boyfriend's income and the mother's income are included for child support calculation purposes. Your income, regardless of what it is, would not be included in the calculation.
