For an ncontested divorce, what happens if I do not file a pettition response?

If you don't respond to the petition, the filing spouse and request entry of default. You can get a default judgment WITH a written agreement. You should consult with an attorney to make sure you file all the proper documents otherwise your judgment paperwork can be rejected.

How will a fraud grounds divorce affect me

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
I'm not sure why filing under fraud would save money.  There is a no fault divorce in New Jersey.  Neither party has to plead anything to be able to get divorced.  I would think that she could plead "no fault" you could not contest the divorce, and it would be the same time/cost as pleading fraud.
