How can I get help with filing for a DIVORCE

Paula Jeanette McGill
Answered by attorney Paula Jeanette McGill (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Paula J. McGill Law Offices
You can do a legal issue and county or city  search on lawyers.com to find a lawyer.   You should call several attorneys in the city/county where you want to file a divorce.  Lawyers differ in experience and fee structures. You should also interview several lawyers to determine who you can work with for several months or even more than a year.    If you cannot afford a lawyer, you should search the website of the Superior Court where you want to file the divorce to determine if there are services in the county that offer free consultations or full representation for those who have low income.  If the county is large enough, the bar association in your county may have a pro bono service.

How can I divorce him, if I do not have an address?

Brad Michael Micklin
Answered by attorney Brad Michael Micklin (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at The Micklin Law Group, LLC
You can file a motion for substituted service and requests that you serve him by publishing notice in a newspaper near his last known address. You will need to perform a diligent inquiry to show that you can't find him. If you do find him, then you have no choice but to serve him personally wherever you find him.
