Can I file divorce and leave US and receive divorce decree in my country?

Answered by attorney Anne Barbara Howard (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Anne B. Howard, A Professional Law Corporation
You can probably file and do the rest from your country. I'd use an attorney to make sure that you don't miss anything. Also, the court could order you back for trial. Or after you have been in your country for enough time, maybe you could file for divorce there - ask an attorney.
