You need to file a Request For Order to bifurcate status. Online forms and directions should be helpful.

How to write an order to change a motion?

This is not something I would advise doing. You should contact the attorney representing you in the divorce action. The court would not particularly like to enter an order you prepared yourself. There is no "form" and these types of motions are either typed out in a long form or if the change is very small, on a Court Memorandum form. These are found in each court room.

You go to the court and fill out the papers. If you need help, most counties have a self help desk which costs nothing.
