Is there a simple way to get a divorce? How?

Answered by attorney Vanessa J. Gorden
Divorce lawyer at GordenLaw, LLC
They can use the Nebraska Supreme Court pro se forms and handled the divorce representing themselves if they would like. Note the forms are not going to work if they have retirement accounts, real estate, or a lot of joint debts.

Do I have to file a divorce in the county where I lived or it can be in any county in the State of Fl?

Jurisdiction means which state to file in.  So technically you could file anywhere in the state of Florida. However the question you are really asking concerns venue. You want to know which is the proper county in the state in which to file.  Normally the county where the parties last lived as husband and wife is the proper venue.  If you choose another venue your spouse could complain of inconvenient forum, meaning that the proper venue is where you last lived together, and the court could grant a change of venue. If you file in the county where you last resided as husband and wife then your spouse cant complain. If you both have relocated and neither of you live in the county where you last resided, then file in the county where you now reside.

Will my fiances ex wife still has rights to anything if she still has his last name?

No, her name is irrelevant. However, he needs to review any benefit he has to make sure her name isn't on it as a beneficiary and if he has a will he needs to change it.
