My ex is incarcerated can I get a divorce for free?

J Matthew Catchick
Answered by attorney J Matthew Catchick (Unclaimed Profile)

Unfortunately, the fact that your ex is incarcerated does not mean you can get a free divorce. I would kindly recommend you call the County Circuit Court where you reside, and ask if they can refer you to a local "pro bono" legal clinic that might be able to assist you.

Can I get annulment after my husband found out that his first wife never filed their divorce papers?

Yes. If the first marriage wasn't completed, then your marriage is considered bigamous and void. It should be annulled.

Do I have a chance of getting my children to live with me if I have 2 jobs and my husband is more financially stable?

Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
Maybe. At least, it might be close to 50/50. And if he pays an appropriate amount of child support you might not need that second job. And if you get what you are entitled to in the property settlement.
