Generally speaking each state has its own residency requirement for the filing of a dissolution action. In Arizona if a party has resided in the state for 90 days that individual may file a petition for dissolution. The more difficult question may revolve around property or the appropriate jurisdiction for entry of orders regarding children You should consult with an experienced family law attorney in your area to review jurisdiction questions.

In SC, it sounds (based on what you have put in this question only) as if this may be property that is considered marital property. You should consult with a local attorney regarding these matters as soon as possible.

Is it possible to remove sponsorship if we divorce?

Kimberly Demetrice French

Immigration sponsorship is a fairly complicated process, so I will give you some general advice, but I must preface it with a strong suggestion that you seek a consultation with an immigration attorney as soon as possible. It is unclear where you are in the sponsorship process;however, if you have already filed the Form I-864, you're legally responsible to support your wife in the eyes of the U.S. government, and the dissolution of your marriage does not extinguish this responsibility.
