Can I get financial support from my husband if we get a divorce?

If you are granted residential custody of your children you will be entitled to child support. As far as spousal support it is best if you consult with an attorney.

I want a QUICK Divorce: I reside and work in NY my husband live somewhere in Pennsylvania. How can i expedite these proceedings and i would like to

The speed of the divorce process depends upon two things: 1. The amount of disagreement between the parties. 2. The county in which the case is filed - some have larger backlogs than others. Permission to return to your maiden name is routine. Orders of protection are usually not granted unless there is a reason to do so, such as specific threats or incidents.

Hello, if permitted under the retainer you signed, an attorney can either remove him or herself from a case and or request that you release them from the contract. At this point, you should start looking for an attorney that will be willing to take over your case so that you do not lose out in defending your rights. You should negotiate the current balance of your retainer and see if they will be willing to refund it so you can use it to pay a new attorney. Feel free to contact my office and speak with a case manager at 1 877-866-8665 or email help@smsattorneys.com maybe we can assist you within your budget.
