Which is better for us, annulment or divorce?

Unless there is grounds for annulment, divorce. You have not been married long enough for community property to be an issue.

Will I lose my house if I have to move out because my husband becomes abusive?

Robert Jensen 'Bob' Matlock
Answered by attorney Robert Jensen 'Bob' Matlock (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Mackoy, Hernandez, Jones and Woods LLP
If you file suit for divorce the judge can hold a temporary hearing to decide who has possession of the house and pays the bills. I suggest you hire a lawyer.

What can I do if my wife just abandoned me?

Answered by attorney Dennis Marston Slate
Divorce lawyer at Slate Associates Attorneys at Law
In Texas a spouse can divorce their spouse without a cause. Texas is a no fault state. If you have children with her, you need to file for divorce where you live quickly to prevent your wife from filing where ever she moved to and forcing you to defend yourself there. The same could also be said even if you do not have kids together, since it is easier and less costly for you to deal with a lawsuit close to where you live rather than where she lives.
