How long after my divorce is finalized can I get remarried?

Answered by attorney Barbara Peyton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peyton & Associates
You can get remarried as soon as you receive a notice of entry of judgment which shows that the date the divorce is granted is a date that is already past. Happy new marriage.

Is it possible to get a divorce with no legal separation?

Steven Palme'
Answered by attorney Steven Palme' (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Palme Law Firm, P.A.
No. You must live separate and apart for 1 year and 1 day before you can file for divorce. If you misrepresent the term of your separation in a divorce complaint in order to get it done faster, it is fraud and is punishable by contempt. Contempt punishment can include jail time, fines, and other sanctions.

You both should have had a signed copy. How long ago was it? Attorneys aren't required to keep documents forever.
