Divorce and Attorneys

Kristen Prata Browde

Getting an attorney is a good idea - in addition to the home there are issues regarding pensions, IRAs and social security benefits that have to be considered as well as anything related to children, if you have them. The cost of a consultation is almost invariably less than the cost of making a mistake doing it yourself.

Legally separated who is in charge of funeral

The legal separation agreement generally severs the spousal duties. Unless the husband has a will asking that the wife be in charge, then it seems that the husband's heirs no longer include the wife. You would be best off talking to a trusts and estates attorney. Good luck.
