What papers should I file to stop this bifurcate process and get visitation rights?

When I first started practicing law some 26 years ago, there was the occasional attempt to try to get a judge to grant a divorce without all issues of property division, custody, child support, and alimony being finally resolved. The law in Georgia had changed in just a few years before I started practicing law so that a divorce could not be granted without all issues being resolved. I had a case where the mother had remarried and was trying to deny the father his visitation that their divorce was invalid and that they were still married, because the judge had granted a divorce and attempted to reserve all other issues.

If the properties were acquired during your marriage, then they are subject to being equitably divided.
