What will I be entitled to in a divorce if we have a prenup?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
Does the prenup say that you get of everything in a divorce or if he dies? If the former, you need to divorce him and get your money now. If it says you get that if he dies, then you have a conflict with the will and that may cause problems for everybody. You should contact the Idaho State Bar and get a referral so that you know what to do.

No experienced attorney is going to give you absolute answers to your questions - there are too many variables. I suggest you consult a competent attorney to review the details of your situation and advise you.

How long would I have to wait before I may get married again in Texas?

Answered by attorney Willie Stephen Graves (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Graves Law Firm
If your divorce happened in Texas the waiting period (i.e. the time for filing a motion for new trial in the divorce case) is 30 days. I can't speak for Louisiana, but 30 days is probably pretty close there as well. Why such a hurry?
