How long do the judge sign off in California after the clerks have approved the declaration of default on October 15?

Divorce lawyer at Anne B. Howard, A Professional Law Corporation
Default does not mean finished. You have to get the judgment through the court. If its not consistent with the other paperwork the judgment will be rejected.

If I owned my home before I was married, is my soon to be ex wife entitled to it?

Answered by attorney Ronald Leon Bornstein (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Ronald Bornstein, Attorney at Law
If your wife is on the title/deed to the house, or if you made mortgage payments on the house with marital funds during the marriage, then your wife may be entitled to a portion of the marital portion of the house. There are many exceptions, and exceptions to the exceptions, that apply when determining the answer to your question and they are rather fact specific. So the answer to your question will depend on your answer to several other questions. You should confer with a family law attorney and discuss all of the applicable facts.

Can i file for divorce in florida if i got married in new york?

Answered by attorney Nicole Kessler Ferry
Divorce lawyer at Nicole Kessler Ferry, P.A.
If you have lived here for 6 months, you can file for divorce. Since you don't know where he is, you will have to publish the divorce for 4 weeks in  a newspaper that is in the last known address for him. It is called service by publication.  After the publication has ended, the newspaper will give you verification that you would then file with the Court. The Court can enter a default and set a final hearing. This process is in my opinion much harder for an unrepresented party to complete. I highly suggest hiring an attorney to handle for you. Best of Luck.
