How much do I have to pay for my wife?

Answered by attorney Julie Anne Ringquist (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Office of Julie A. Ringquist
You will want to consult with an attorney, but generally, spousal support is based on your income and her income and give her help until she can become self supporting. Given the short length of this marriage (5 months), spousal support may or may not be ordered as the judge has a great amount of discretion on how long temporary spousal support will last. It will depend on many circumstances, which you should go over with an attorney.

Do my fiance and I need separate lawyers for a prenuptial agreement? Or can a lawyer act as neutral party to make sure we both understand the terms?

Answered by attorney Amanda Bowden Johnson
Divorce lawyer at The Houser Law Firm, P.C.
Yes. A prenup is worthless enough without adding a slam dunk set aside like you both used the same lawyer.
