If married to a bigamist what actions should I take what about filing taxes?

Anthony O. Van Johnson
Answered by attorney Anthony O. Van Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)

First of all, it is a crime in the State of Georgia to be married to more than one spouse. The subsequent marriage is, in fact, void. You should seek an annulment as soon as possible.

Do you have to pay child support with joint custody in Ga.?

Michael Todd Hampton
Answered by attorney Michael Todd Hampton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at M. Todd Hampton, P.C.
The short answer is it just depends. You will have to do a child support worksheet to see what the amount for both parties should be. The worksheet may actually show no child support is owed based on your incomes. Most likely, however, if neither party wants child support you will have to agree to a deviation that shows why it's not necessary. If it's uncontested, you can generally reach an agreement for no child support as long as the judge agrees it's in the best interests of the child.

Who owns a home if the ex wife died before refinancing?

Answered by attorney Patricia Christine Van Haren (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Moradi Neufer
You could be able to request that the estate pay off the loan. It is difficult to provide an answer without reviewing both your divorce judgment and the trust documents. You should contact an estate attorney or a family law attorney to discuss the particulars of your case.
