If I have problems enforcing alimony garnishment in different state, what can I do?

All states have statutes that require the courts to recognize judgments from other states but the requirements for enforcement are different from one state to another.

Will you be able to help my son find a divorce attorney?

Answered by attorney Robert Andrew Michael Burns (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Office of Robert Burns
That depends. Virtually no U.S.A. attorney can assist your son to get a divorce in S.K. But, if he wishes to get a divorce in Cal. he can be assisted preferably by an attorney in the County in which he is a resident. You provide virtually no information. Why doesn't he handle his own inquiry? I have represented a service member stationed in S.K. and we had excellent communication.

I have a divorce decree that states that my ex-husband is responsible for a house we owned do I still have to pay for it?

Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
Yes, the bank can come after you and then you can sue your husband for the amount you pay to the bank. One nice thing, if the decree requires each of you to indemnify the other for not paying what you should pay, is that he won't be able to discharge his obligation to you in bankruptcy.
