You have to satisfy the residency requirements of the state you are filing in. In Florida, it is 6 months, and you have only lived here for 1.

You can file where you currently reside. If your spouse has contacts to FL, or if you can serve him within this state, the Court can get personal jurisdiction over him. That is necessary for financial relief. The Court can grant the divorce without it, however. Jurisdiction to decide matters regarding the 9 year old will also be in FL. Jurisdiction over child related matters concerning the 15 year old lies in NY.

Go to Paralegal Service, you need an uncontested dissolution, Florida does not require parties to prove they were married. Be careful in who you go to, most PS charge about $ 500.00, safest is to hire an attorney but cost is usually about $ 1,500.00, most attorneys can get the final hearing within 30 days of both parties signing the papers.
