How can I find out if my second marriage was legal?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
Hire attorney to look into this matter if you cannot do so yourself. Generally, any marriage which was performed prior to the time that the divorce is final would be considered null and void. That said, your circumstances may allow you to seek from record some kind of remedy if it is determined that your second marriage was invalid.

The Texas Family Code considers virtually all income as being subject to withholding for child support. If you have detailed questions, I suggest you hire a lawyer.

If I dismissed my divorce case under pressure from my husband, can I file it again?

Answered by attorney Karen A. Clark (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Offices of Karen A. Clark
You can file a Petition for dissolution at any time. If you dismissed the Petition before, I would suggest that you consult with an attorney. Usually a party cannot exert the same type of pressure that s/he did on a spouse. Additionally, if there is an issue of your spouse escalating, you should discuss that with an attorney so you two might formulate a plan for your protection.
