Process of getting a divorce after 3 months

Kristen Prata Browde
Answered by attorney Kristen Prata Browde (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Browde Law, P.C.
Your easiest method is to simply wait until six months have passed since the date of the marriage and file on the basis of irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. Assuming you both are in agreement the only question on timing would be based upon where you live - different counties have different backlogs of cases - some take weeks, some take many months to process uncontested divorces.

If my wife and I both filed for bankruptcy, is she entitled to part of my pension?

Bruce Provda
Answered by attorney Bruce Provda (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Provda Law Firm
Often many different things are looked at with regard to division if assets. One thing is how long you were married. In a longer marriage the pension is an asset that can be divided. You need to discuss this with your attorney.

It is not a conflict of interest. However, there are limitations on relationships between attorneys and clients during the course of a matrimonial representation.
