Can my wife legally make me leave the house

Susan Chana Lask

She cannot make you leave your home.  That can only be done by a court order, and usually that happens if there's physical or mental abuse involved. Good Luck.  This is not legal advice nor does it create an attorney client relationship. It is just informational. You should hire an attorney if you want to pursue a legal matter.

How can i get back the jewelry and cash gifts gave to my wife if we do not register our marriage?

It's not clear what you mean by "registered" - there is no requirement that a marriage be registered in New York. Recovery of gifts is generally negotiated - litigation can cost far more than most gifts.

The law can't help you as to your in laws. Further, no matter where you move you have an obligation to support your child. You should consult a local divorce attorney and work out an appropriate settlement.
