If we get divorced, am I entitled to any part of the house?

Answered by attorney Monica H. Donaldson Stewart
Divorce lawyer at Donaldson Stewart, P.C.
If the house was purchased during the marriage, you may have the right to either share the value of the house or to request reimbursement for certain funds paid toward the house during the marriage. It depends on certain factors that are too complicated to address in this manner. I recommend you consult with an attorney to discuss this issue in greater detail.

How can I divorce my husband if I have no idea about his whereabouts?

Answered by attorney Barbara Peyton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peyton & Associates
You can file your papers and make good faith efforts to serve him. When you can't get him served, the court has forms to get permission to have him served by publication of the papers in a newspaper of general circulation in the city or town of his last known residence.
