It is the source of funds used to acquire the asset and the source of the funds used to maintain/payments minus.any debt that will determine the equity in each asset. These determinations may or may not require experts. More probable than not, you will need an attorney.

Florida will not have jurisdiction over your marriage until you have lived here for 6 months. You would probably be able to get child support from him. You should probably each get an attorney and try to resolve the issues prior to moving to FL. Otherwise you will have to wait, and then there is a problem with jurisdiction over him in FL once you have been here for 6 months, unless he agrees to FL having jurisdiction.
