What should I do if my wife had a child with someone else?

Answered by attorney John E. Kirchner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at John E. Kirchner
You can divorce her if you no longer want to be married. In Colorado "cheating" is not relevant to anything except as part of the process of proving that the child is not yours so you don't have to pay child support.

Will the mortgage bank remove one name off the loan?

Answered by attorney Scott Kemble Wilson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Offices of Scott K. Wilson
The only way one person can be removed from a joint loan is for the loan to be refinanced paid off and a new loan taken out. The remaining person would get a quit claim deed from the departing person at the time the new loan paid off the existing loan.

What are my options if my attorney did not file divorce but I paid him full 7 months ago?

J Matthew Catchick
Answered by attorney J Matthew Catchick (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Catchick Law, P.C.
A 7-month delay to file a Divorce Complaint seems WAY too long. If you are not receiving prompt responses or good service from your lawyer, you may want to consider interviewing other Family Law lawyers to find a better fit. There are many excellent Family Law lawyers throughout the State. If you find a more responsive lawyer, hopefully they can coordinate with your old lawyer to try and secure at least a partial refund of your retainer (depending on how much work your old lawyer claims they did on your case).
