Can we file divorce if we don't not love one another, I can't stand her and she can't stand me?

Answered by attorney Dean Michael Esposito
Divorce lawyer at Esposito Law Firm
Louisiana is a no fault divorce state. You do not need to allege any fault or reasons in order to obtain a judgment of divorce. You just have to live separate and apart for the requisite time period which is 6 months if you have no children born during the marriage.

If divorce is uncontested how long will it take to be finalized

Kristen Prata Browde
Answered by attorney Kristen Prata Browde (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Browde Law, P.C.
That depends entirely upon how many cases are in front of yours when you file and upon the number of judges handling those cases in your county. In some counties it can be a matter of days after submission of the paperwork. In others it's months.

How do I Divorce my husband he got deport back to Trinidad

Answered by attorney Lori Nevias
Divorce lawyer at Lori Nevias, Attorney at Law
As long as you were married in New York and at least one of you was  living in New York for at least a year prior to the divorce, and you can find a process server or adult person to personally serve the divorce papers on your husband in Trinidad, the divorce will proceed the same as any other divorce. If you can get your husband to consent to the divorce and voluntarily sign the necessary paperwork that's always easiest.
