Do you deal with separation cases?

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Divorce lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
There really is no legal form of separation in New Jersey.  Mostly what happens is that a couple will separate in anticipation of divorce, and will need to sort out their rights prior to the divorce being finalized, like temporary support, or housing.  Any attorney that deals in family law will be able to help you with this.  If you are in Ocean or Monmouth counties, call my office and we can help you.

This is not a question, but I would like to get a divorce.

Answered by attorney Bari Zell Weinberger
Divorce lawyer at Weinberger Divorce Family Law Group, LLC
Thank you for your message. I am sorry that your marriage did not work out.  Unfortunately, without further details, it is impossible to answer your question. Additionally, you may want to explore procuring an annulment as opposed to a divorce. I suggest that you contact an immigration attorney with regards to the question as to immigration status and then consult with a family Law attorney in order to discuss whether you should proceed by way of divorce or whether an annulment is more advantageous to you.
