Who will pay the bill after divorce if I do not have a job?

This is why you need an attorney. If you have neither a job nor income generally the court will cause the other party to pay your attorney fees so that you are not taken advantage of.

What can I expect to get financially out of a divorce?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney James T Weiner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at James T. Weiner, P.C.
Each divorce is unique and there are no standard set rules in property distributions. I am troubled by "thrift savings but I received a letter to notify me as his wife he had withdrawn money from that, and he has a pension" Its a good change you will get half of his income, pension, and assets.. but you will need a good attorney.

Assuming the settlement agreement was in writing and is part of the divorce judgmentyou can file a motion to hold him in contempt of the judgment..he could get significant penalties.
