Michael Walsh is a Principal at the Kitch Chicago office. He joined Kitch in May of 2011 after being a partner at the law firm of Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey for 17 years. Mr. Walsh has substantial experience as a trial lawyer in the areas of medical malpractice, long term health care, insurance defense, product liability and commercial litigation.
Mr. Walsh is licensed to practice law in Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois, Indiana and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He frequently lectures in the areas of medical malpractice and health care.
He is AV Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. It attests to a lawyer’s legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary. He was also recognized as a Leading Lawyer in 2021 and 2022. This recognition is based on a survey of their peers.
Mr. Walsh received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1991. He was on the law review at John Marshall as well as on the National Moot Court team. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics and English from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He also worked at the Mercantile Exchange as a trader broker.
