Katharine Gostek is a principal in the firm’s Detroit office. She focuses her practice on appellate law and complex legal issues in litigation.
Ms. Gostek earned her B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 2013. She earned her Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2016 and graduated in the top 10% of her class. While in law school, Ms. Gostek was honored with Jurisprudence Achievement Awards in Comparative Constitutional Law and Advanced Legal Research. Ms. Gostek also served as Assistant Articles Editor on the Michigan State International Law Review.
Ms. Gostek was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.Rising Stars are attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or those who have practiced for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of Michigan lawyers are named to this list every year. Additionally, she was recognized as a Top Lawyer by DBusiness Magazine.
She is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
