Daniel P. Dalton, named one of twenty-five Michigan Attorneys as a Leaders in the Law in 2010, a Super Lawyer in Land Use and Zoning since 2008 and a Detroit Business Magazine top lawyer concentrates his practice in representing businesses and religious organizations in land use and zoning disputes. Mr. Dalton wrote the book on Litigating Religious Land Use Cases and frequently litigates, lectures and writes on issues related to land use and zoning matters throughout the United States. Mr. Dalton received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University and his law degree from the University of Detroit, School of Law. Mr. Dalton clerked for the honorable Chief Justice Dorothy Comstock Riley of the Michigan Supreme Court and is a founding member at Dalton & Tomich PLC. Twice elected to the City of Plymouth City Commission, Mr. Dalton actively serves on several boards and committees including the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Dean’s Advisory Board, the Boys and Girls Club of Oakland and Macomb County and Cabrini Clinic. He is a life member and fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member of the American Planning Association and the Michigan Planning Society.
