Barbara Martin has been a part of the firm’s medical malpractice defense practice since 1992. With more than two decades of experience, Ms. Martin concentrates her practice on defending hospitals and physicians against claims of professional negligence. Her previous experience includes working as a junior executive for a major automobile manufacturer.
Ms. Martin is licensed to practice law in Michigan and the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Detroit President’s Organization.
Ms. Martin received her J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law, where she was a member of Law Review, the Moot Court Board of Directors, the Order of Barristers and the American Inn of Court. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College with a double major in Economics and Management, and Political Science. She was also named to the Omicron Delta Epsilon National Honor Society.
She has successfully gone to Trial, and received No Causes of Action for hospitals and physicians.
Ms. Martin was recognized in DBusiness Magazine as a Top Lawyer in 2014.
