Joel Laufer graduated cum laude from Simpson College with a bachelors degree in economics and graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa School of Law. He served as a law clerk to the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. He also served as a summer law clerk to the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Mr. Laufer was admitted to the Colorado bar and for the past 40 years has practiced exclusively in the insolvency and bankruptcy area, representing business entities, lenders, debtors and creditors committees in Chapters 7, 9 and 11, including the prosecution and defense of avoidance and recovery actions, and advising businesses in out-of-court workouts.Joel Laufer specializes in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
