35 year relationship and I can say the finest representation I've had the pleasure of working with.
I have worked over twenty years in the law enforcement field and have spent significant time around lawyers.Recently,I retained Pete Noone to represent me during an internal/criminal investigation.I found Pete Noone to have extensive knowledge of law and possesses outstanding communication ability.Pete Noone also was terrific at explaining complex legal matters.Despite a busy practice,he was extraordinarily responsive.Perhaps more important, he always seemed to care about me and my case.Superb!
I retained Avery Dooley Post & Avery to represent me during a seven year internal criminal/administrative investigation. With twenty years of law enforcement experience,I have spent considerable time working with attorneys. All of the lawyers I dealt with at the firm possessed outstanding legal knowledge and were excellent communicators. The support staff also displayed impressive competencies.I found the responsiveness of the firm to be incredible.I would never hire another firm for anything.
Atty, Peter Noone was contacted by my American Federation of Government Employees representative Mike Donato to represent me in my 'proposal for termination' for which the federal agency I was employed by attempted to terminate me for leave taken because of trauma and infections received: 1) while on duty; 2) under direct instruction of federal supervisors; 3) under direct supervision of my federal supervisors; for which I was terminated after successfully answering each charge in four parts dismissing every single charge the agency had cooked up on me. During my termination review, the attorney did little to defend my actions and after it was decided the agency would go ahead with my termination and Mr. Donato said he would file for arbitration (then later refused to do just that, it was a set up from the beginning). The attorney was present when Mr. Donato told me 'you fell for her trap' yet gave no legal advice to any way to resolve the situation to my benefit.
Total hands-off, no involvement, did not look after the best interest of the client, did not deposed any of the witnesses, showed little to no interest in protecting the client from the administrators frivolous attacks and constant harassment. Total mis-representation. Stay away seek another liability insurance and attorneys. They were totally passive.
After I dismissed Avery, et. al, from my case, I obtained a better resolution than they had been encouraging me to accept. They misrepresented the basis of my claim to EEOC. Apparently, their reputation is not as good as they claim.
Highway robbery-either didn't know basic law that a federal career tenured competitive service employee is by definition entitled to an MSPB hearing or was just trying to collect $ without doing job (getting the hearing to which my career tenure in same job entitled me). Allowed MSPB judge to illegally refuse my hearing and threaten me into signing grossly unfair settlement by falsely telling us it was our only option. IRS breached settlement - SF-50 still not fixed to reflect tenure 1 status.
