Poor representation at a trial that shouldn't have happened but due to his ongoing persuasion of how he was going to "thump the prosecution" and "they had no case" I got taken for 5k+ and did more time in jail than I would have with a plea bargain. I had NO criminal background and was hit with another charge due to his lack of communication w the prosecutor. I retained new counsel to get the charge dropped and the PROSECUTOR informed my atty that the charge was from Owens lack of communication
Attorney Robert Owens made promises regarding how he would handle my case, claimed it was straight forward, and simple. The one promised appointment turned into several appointments and consisted of Mr. Owens carrying conversations irrelevant to my case, resulting in additional appointments, wasted expenses on my behalf, and delayed preparation of the relevant documents needed for my case. I find this type of approach unprofessional and therefore I would not recommend Robert Owens of Owens Law.
