Do not hire this person. Not only is Carolyn's communication with her clients poor, she lacks overall strategy and negotiation skills. She gave the opposing counsel "professional courtesies" and was friends with the mediator in my case, all of which resulted in an outcome that was not favorable to her client (me). She did not provide all the documentation from the opposing counsel to me, which greatly affected my decision making in my case. She did not file documentation in a timely manner, or press the opposing counsel to do so, extending my case three months. After all of this, she over billed me for her time. I should have fired her two weeks in.
I cannot recommend this law firm. Jen and Carolyn were friends with opposing counsel in my case and I was not happy with the results. I burned through nearly $4000 and they never even responded to the divorce filing. No discovery and no offer of settlement was even made. They gave opposing counsel exactly what they wanted and presented me with the hard copy of the consent agreement the evening before the hearing. I almost missed the deadline to respond with the new firm.
