I would trust her all over again if I needed it. She held my hand when I needed it the most. Explained things to me and walked me through the process. She knows what she is doing and will guide you to what is best for you.

She has been very communicative and transparent through the process. She was readily available and responsive - in a very anxious and emotional situation for me, she portrayed confidence and compassion, which is what I would assume most clients who have been discriminated or retaliated against - or who are recovering from a hostile work environment - need.

If you want a lazy, do-nothing, incompetent, non-communicative attorney. Mellannise Henderson-Love is the one. How did she graduate law school? DEI? She is horrible and rarely responds except maybe at the last minute. That is why she only charges smaller retainers than decent lawyers do.

Very unethical, lazy, and horrible for families. Had ex parte communications with the judge's. Didn't follow court orders. She's was a GAL who lied in court. Biased from the beginning. Never communicated. Colluded with opposing lawyer.

Careful! Mellanise does not know what she's doing. Just look at her website. Or ask her to prepare a draft order, not sure she can. In the year I worked with her she drafted one order and it was as if a kindergarten wrote it - just a few bullet points. She will take your money and run without putting in any effort. Even though the case was simple, Ms. Henderson was not prepared. Information that should have been researched prior to the hearing, we had to locate on the fly during the hearing. Which also resulted in not having the appropriate time to consider the full ramification of each decision. Years later I am still dealing with bad decisions made by my attorney during this hearing. In addition, my case was negatively affected due to several incidents of limited/poor communication before and after the hearing. Lastly, not including legal fees, over ~18K was lost due to Ms. Henderson's limited understanding of the law and her ability to apply it properly.

She was appointed as an ad litem and never communicated. She only spoke to the opposing counsel and never spoke to our side. She sent invoices where this was documented as she spoke to the opposing Council for hours before hearings and never spoke to our side. She was just concerned about her payments yet when we asked for the invoices and she said she was going to get us them that week she went completely dark and unresponsive to all emails, text messages, and calls. She was supposed to make a decision on my 3-year-old son and instead went silent and now my son is suffering because of her unprofessional and unethical Behavior. Do not recommend her at all. Highly deceptive with her nice demeanor and manipulative conversations. She harassed my mother and asked her trick questions in English which is not her first language. She then went and had the other side go unsupervised against written court orders and ignored my child's needs. Unethical
