Before joining Goranson Bain Ausley as an associate, Lauren clerked with the firm in both the Dallas and Austin offices, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of family law matters. During her time as a law clerk, she assisted in complex cases, and supported attorneys and paralegals in preparing evidence and managing client communications. These experiences strengthened her understanding of GBA’s client-centered approach and deepened her appreciation for helping families find constructive resolutions.
Lauren’s commitment to advocacy began during law school, where she represented abused and neglected children through the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic at SMU Dedman School of Law. As Guardian and Attorney ad Litem, she ensured her clients’ voices were heard and their best interests represented—an experience that shaped her perspective and continues to guide her work with families.
In recognition of her service, Lauren was inducted into the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono Honor College in 2024.
A proud graduate of the University of Arkansas, Lauren earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism/Political Science and Communication, graduating in the top 3% of her class. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law, where she was the Administrative Managing Editor of the International Law Review Association and received numerous advocacy honors, including induction into The Order of Barristers.
Lauren is an associate in Goranson Bain Ausley’s Austin office.
