He should have put joint tenants with right of survivorship. By just putting our names only the law assumes you mean tenants in common and when one of the parties dies you are forced to go to probate court and pay $10,000 or more to an attorney to get the deed recorded properly. I do not recommend him. He is not a probate attorney.
Proceeds to make up his own opinion about the law rather than follow the law he proceeded to tell a judge in probate court that when a vulnerable adult turns 18 if they were in the custody of another person in another state jurisdiction ends because they turned 18. That is not the law! Jurisdiction does not expire because of age you have to initiate communication for transfer in order to obtain jurisdiction. he assisted a child abuser who has been convicted of child endangerment in getting guardianship of his down syndrome son who has been raised by other people for 17 years. This father took his son on a court ordered visit and never returned him back to the state of Florida. This attorney is corrupt as they come. By law in the state of Georgia, you cannot be a sitting judge in the same county that you are an attorney. Completely corrupt and fraudulent do not trust. He does not give proper council to his clients on encouraging family connections with vulnerable adults.
Working with the attorney was the worst experience I have ever experienced. He nor his secretary respond to your text and/or emails nor do they return your calls. He does not fight for you in court. He will promise you that he will get things done in a certain time frame and then drag it out for a year if not longer just for more financial gain for him. His fees are absolutely ridiculous and he can never fully explain what and why you are being charged for. They will charge you for things that never happened. Since firing this attorney and hiring a different attorney my case has greatly improved. I do not recommend this attorney at all.
