Can someone be convicted of possession of stolen goods if they are really innocent?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
She can be charged and convicted based simply on the fact that she was in possession of the stolen property. She (or you) should hire an attorney to defend her of these charges. Under no circumstances should she be talking to the police without an attorney present.

Convictions stay forever. But a class C is the lowest and will probably have no effect for employment purposes.

What should you do if you are wrongly accused of child abuse?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You could be charged with a felony, depending on injuries and age of the child. You need to hire a strong trial attorney immediately and let them fight it.
