What do I do if there are still active utilities under someone else's name at my address?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
As long as you have utilities in your name, it's the previous owners responsibility to cancel their own contracts. It ain't your problem.

What rights are restored after being released from non-deffered felony probation in Texas?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
So you completed straight felony probation which means it was not dismissed and you are now a convicted felon. You can never own a weapon or be in possession of one. You also can never vote. There are a bunch of other restrictions, but you can google them.
