Statute set jail time of 180 days for driving on suspended list. no room to negotiate. You can pay the fine and get the 29 additional days removed. This would be the path. Please call if you have issues. Ed Dimon, Esq. 732-797-1600

What will happen after I violated my probation for the first time?

Criminal Law lawyer at Raff & Raff, LLP
Simple assault is handled in municipal court. However, if you plead guilty or are found guilty then you could be summoned for a violation of probation hearing. Several things could happen at the hearing, including a jail sentance. Or nothing could happen, if you're lucky. You will definitely want to retain an attorney to assist you in this.

The state might not be able to use your first statement, but after you were read your rights you made a second statement and that can be used against you.
