What should we do if my son was cited for meth paraphernalia but found no evidence?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
This sounds quite complex and the charges are very serious. His entire case file, including all police report and witness statements, needs to be thoroughly examined for any issues or 4th or 5th amendment violations that could be used as leverage to get the charges reduced or dismissed. Make sure he is represented by a skilled and experienced criminal defense attorney in his area. Preferably one that handles drug crimes.

Can I clear an arrest warrant in Troy, Michigan without having to go to jail?

Criminal Law lawyer at Mark A. Manning, P.C.
Most courts will impose a bond for your release. Your Attorney should contact the original police agency where you got your ticket, tell them you forgot about your court date and make arrangements for you to turn yourself in, post bond and set a new PRE trial date. In the meantime also get proper plates on your car and have proof you are in compliance with the law.

Can the third person pay for the other two peoples restitution?

Answered by attorney Laurie A. Schmidt
Criminal Law lawyer at 5280 Law Group
Typically, restitution is ordered as joint and several. This means that all three of the defendants would be required to pay the restitution until it is paid in full.
