It seems your best bet is to talk to your parents about this and get them paid back as soon as possible.

Do I need an attorney for a first time shoplifting charge?

George Lawrence Sandefer

I would consult with an attorney.  Taking something accidentally is not criminal and an attorney may be able to help get it dropped. Even taking something on purpose may have options which will result in no record ultimately, such as pretrial intervention.  Most attorneys will consult with you for free.  I would do that so you do not have a record of theft to deal with.

What can I do about dropping charges?

Answered by attorney Bruce H. Lehr

Since the case is State of Florida aginst your boyfriend, not you vs. him, so you can ask that the case be dropped but you don't have the power to accomplish that.
