What will happen if I stole a credit card and used it?

Possible charges of burglary and theft[s]. You’ll learn the actual charge[s] filed against you when you appear for arraignment at your first court hearing if and when you are arrested. What can you do? Hire an attorney, unless you know how to effectively represent yourself in court against a professional prosecutor intending to convict. A little free advice: exercise the 5th Amendment right to SHUT UP and do NOT talk to anyone except an attorney about the case. That includes on this or any other web site or public forum. It also includes any communication or dealings with the employer, clients, etc. Most police and prosecutors will happily tell you that 95% of people convict themselves by trying to be 'helpful and cooperative', either during initial contact, questioning, interview or interrogation. If you haven’t yet been arrested, your attorney may be able to negotiate a civil compromise agreement with the clients and employer that will avoid you being prosecuted.

How much would an attorney be for a shoplifting case?

I doubt attorneys will quote prices on an open forum such as this. Feel free to contact me if your case is in NYC. I am a former federal and State prosecutor and have been handling criminal defense for over 15 years. Like any other profession, some public defenders are good and some are not. However, they all are forced to carry way too many cases - some times as many as 700 at once. As in life, you get what you pay for.

What attorney is needed to sue a winterizing company?

Answered by attorney Gregory M Janks (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Gregory M. Janks, P.C.
Sue them in Small Claims Court on your own without a lawyer as lawyers may not practice in Small Claims Court. However, a corporation, if sued there, has the option of having the case removed to District Court and then lawyers can be used by either side. It is unlikely you will be able to find a lawyer to economically handle a $1,200 case. You can ask your local Bar Association for a referral to a lawyer and/or find one on the web. If you have limited income, perhaps a Legal Aid Society can help you? You can ask the "problem solvers" of local TV stations to go to bat for you.
