Can a police officer ask me for my license if I was caught with someone who is not allowed to be around women?

Cynthia Russell Henley

A police officer can always identify people on a scene. If you did not give your driver's license, then he could ask for the information and your refusal to give it could be an offense called failure to identify to a police officer.

My 15-year-old daughter is being charge for felony burglary for a shoplifting case at a local mall and she has no record should I hire an attorney?

Answered by attorney Philip Daniel Hache
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Phil Hache
Yes. Those are serious charges that should be handled by an attorney that focuses his practice on criminal defense. I would recommend that you call a criminal defense attorney or two in your area to discuss her situation on more detail.

If I am on a bond will I get arrested on the spot if I renewed my Driver's License?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
If you are on bond then you don't have a warrant. Best to call a bail bondsman and ask whether you have any warrants. Call a company in the county where you think the warrant is out of. If you have no warrants, then you can go get your license. If you do have warrants, yes, they could pick you up there.
