What could happen to me in a grand theft?

Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
You will be charged with theft, whether it is charged as a felony or a misdemeanor is up to the state. If it is charged as a felony, you could spend up to 6 years in prison, if charged as a misdemeanor up to one year in the county jail. Chances are that you will not do any jail time, but that you will be on probation for a few years.

What do I do about a fugitive warrant?

The probation is NOT finished. Five years elapsed, but the probation did not end, because a tolling order was filed. So, yes they can come and get you, because you did not pay the original five years on probation as you agreed.

There is a lot of information to gather and to arrange his transport to the other county.   This is beyond the scope of this forum. You should consult directly with an attorney
