Will I be in legal trouble if I filed false charges against someone?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Absolutely, but you should hire an attorney to advise you on how to proceed. You could be charged with filing a false police report to aggravated perjury. And the truth always comes out. So you really need to hire an attorney and proceed with caution. Or take your secret to the grave and hope they let you in.

My 17 year old son was charged with 3 felonies, will he have to do time for them?

Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
I think these are all 3rd degree felonies, the sentence for each could be up to 5 years in prison. Since he has no prior record, he might be offered probation. He will need a privately retained criminal defense attorney. His freedom is too precious to risk.

Will I go to jail due to I had a legal gun in the state of New Jersey. I didnt know the gun laws of New Jersey when I entered the state.

Edward Jay Zohn
Answered by attorney Edward Jay Zohn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Zohn & Zohn, L.L.P.
Your question is too general. Did you have a "legal" gun or an illegal gun? Whether you live in it or not, a truck is a moving vehicle. I could help you more if I knew more about your individual predicament. Edward Zohn, Attorney at Law, 908.791.0312
