Since it is illegal for 2 felons to associate with each other, it is legal for them to marry in any state?

last time I looked there was no criminal background check required to procure a marriage license in Michigan but I would certainly want to know the details before giving advise. Being married is insufficient to risk incarceration for probation or parole violation.

Do I need to obtain an attorney if my ex is being charged with warfare fraud?

I recently handled a case where a woman was investigated for welfare fraud. I was able to prevent her from being arrested. What did the investigator say? Are you a target? It is always better to have a lawyer if you can, especially if the other person is trying to blame you.

Is it fair to assume that Woman #1 can/may be arrested, may be charged, may be the one to bear the burden of the fact Woman #2 had the drugs?

There is little question that the actions of woman number two could potentially cause charges to be brought and therefore defense costs incurred by woman number one, although it would seem unlikely under the circumstances given that a conviction could be sustained against woman number one. Regarding the fact that there were minor children in the car, I assume the children of woman number two, it is certainly possible that if she is taken away and incarcerated at the children would be subject to being placed with relatives or through social services.
