HOW TO CHECK SOMETHING ON MY RECORD

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
Get a copy of the judgment (the complete file would be better) from the court that it was adjudicated in.  It probably was a municipal court or a justice of the peace court in the city/county where it occurred.  Once you get that an attorney will be able to advise you of what is best to do.  There are certain situations that can be expunged for Class "C" misdemeanors.  Good luck, patrick short

In Houston, Texas, can a felon live in a house that contains a gun?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
It's tricky. A felon amy not possess a gun. So it better be able to show the police and judge that the gun was clearly not possessed by the felon and had no access to it.

Don't have non-person felonies here in Texas. But in Texas if you are a convicted felon then you may never own a firearm.
